About Hair Removal

Waxing

Waxing is a safe, inexpensive and dependable way of removing body hair. Unlike shaving, good wax can keep that unwanted body hair away for as long as six weeks. By adding waxing to your beauty routine will make your skin glow with luminosity while feeling smooth, fresh and clean.
Types of waxing
There are two procedures of waxing, cold and hot. Both methods contain the application of wax on the skin and its removal using cloth strip.
The cold wax is directly applied to the skin and then removed, while hot wax is applied and removed using a cloth strip. Generally hot wax is the right choice if you want to remove hard and thick hair.
The Benefits
Charming and even the skin.
One of the benefits of waxing that you will feel your skin is soft and even. When waxing, you are not only removing unwanted hair—you also take away any dry and dead skin cells in the procedure!
No cuts or bruises.
With waxing, you are not a threat to any cuts or nicks that can leave you with marks and scars. For those with a susceptible skin and discolouration due to slightest of cut, this is excellent news.
Stubble free skin.
Waxing obliterates unwanted hair, from its roots. Shaving, on the other hand, regularly results in stubbles, leaving the skin feeling rough and scratchy.
Irritation and allergies-free.
There are minimal chemicals involved in the waxing process, so rarely does waxing cause any skin irritation or allergy.
Slow hair re-growth.
After waxing, the re-growth of your hair is very slow, often taking 4 to 6 weeks. As well, many say that they have found their hair to be more delicate, after the re-growth.
Before and After Tips:
Exfoliate the day before your appointment.
Don’t apply body lotion on the same day of your appointment.
Use a deodorant without antiperspirant if you will be getting an underarm wax. The hair comes off more relaxed.
If you are anxious about pain, take one Ibuprofen or a painkiller an hour before your appointment.
Avoid any hot treatments for 24 hours post-waxing (bath, sauna, steamer, tanning bed).

Threading

Threading is an ancient hair removal process that been used in India and the Middle East for thousands of years. Lately, threading has started to gain popularity in Western culture, mainly in the US. The practice has provided many people with a sustained alternative to waxing and plucking. However, there are still lots of people that do not know about threading and how it can improve their beauty routine.

What is so great about threading?

Chemicals Free
Dissimilar to other hair removal procedures, threading not including any chemicals. Only one thing that is used is a soft cotton thread. Nothing else is touching the skin and can irritate it. Someone with a sensitive skin that is prone to redness or itchiness would benefit significantly from an all-natural technique like threading.

Accuracy
Perhaps the most significant advantage that threading has over other techniques is the ability to form an eyebrow with spectacular precision. Separable hairs can be targeted, but multiple hairs can still be removed together. It is like having the tweezing accuracy combining it with waxing’s ability to remove an abundance of hairs instantaneously. Threading can remove one clean line of the hair simultaneously, allowing the threading artist to shape the eyebrows perfectly.

Less Pain
It is generally agreed threading is not as painful as other hair removal procedures. This may be because the thread is not touching the skin during the process. The skin under and around the eyebrow is thin and sensitive, which is why techniques that pull directly on this skin typically cause the pain.

Save Time
Tweezing your eyebrow hair one by one can take forever. Fortunately, the threading solves this problem by removing multiple hairs at once. The threading artist weaves the thread through all of the hairs that need to be removed then tugs at the thread. This fast process can be repeated until the desired eyebrow shape is achieved.

Long-Lasting
For most people, the results last anywhere between 2-5 weeks. Another thing to take into consideration that threading weakening the hair follicles, causing growth to be less dense over time. So the more you thread your eyebrows, the finer the hair will grow in and the less often you will have to thread.

Affordability
Since threading uses no chemicals and is a quick procedure to perform, it is incredibly affordable.
